How does this have a higher score than Heist(2001)?

This is a serviceable heist movie with some good acting by a great cast but Heist (the 2001 film with Gene Hackman, not the new film with DeNiro) is masterpiece of acting, writing, and film making.

I'm usually not one to care about this sort of thing (and to be honest I really don't care too much) but it just seems a shame that such a good film is so overlooked or thought of as another run of the mill heist/thriller.

I don't care much either, but I respectfully disagree. I saw both in the theaters and liked The Score considerably more. Since first seeing it, I'll often stop and watch it when I catch it airing on TV. I like the quiet moments, the score (music, that is), and characters, like Brando hanging out in his basement pool. Plus, you got to give it extra points for having the guy that voiced Hermey the elf in Rudolph in it.
