Huh?

So, Nene and Ángel get together after having casual sex. But though they remain "the twins," Ángel becomes distant and refuses to have sex anymore, saying that semen is sacred (obviously, he's Catholic and hates himself for having gay sex and for masturbating). Meanwhile, Nene get frustrated and also lets his internalized homophobia fly, repeatedly shouting epithets at a guy in a bathroom (whom he has no reason to believe is gay other than him "staring") and then comments to his new girlfriend about all the "queers." But then things turn and Ángel and Nene find out that they actually love each other. It seems very out there, like the characters are very indecisive about their feelings (surely, indecisiveness isn't a good attribute for on-the-run criminals).
