Disappointing ***may include spoilers***

There were parts of the movie I liked, but the plot was weak. It seemed as though there were bits and pieces of the storyline stuck (forced) together - just to produce that "Bollywood masala" story.

I did like the acting though - esp Juhi & Jackie. BUT, I didn't like the characterization of Juhi at the end - for someone who is an undercover cop and has done so well up to the end, there were stupid mistakes that they showed her make. It just didn't gel - for example, stealing the money (w/o understanding SRK's character's real motive)...also asking the crooked cop to watch the kids (you would think as such a good undercover cop she would have known that anyone was a suspect - then why would she trust a stranger cop if she didn't trust a cop she supposedly loved???). Her character was not credible, esp towards the end. Also, how can SRK love Juhi so much after what she did? That was eating into his credibility as well.

Another problem I had was the use of (lifted) English dialogues and story (mostly from the movie "One Good Cop") - with the Bollywood masala and Indian "culture" then all forced into it. For example, the whole police partner concept is such a western idea and is part of the plot in One Good Cop. Plus we've heard all the lines before in English movies...such lines were sprinkled throughout the film...for example, the sequence when Jackie is interrogating the supposed Tamil (only)-speaking suspect is very western as well, especially when he says that the dude should talk because not all cops are as nice as him (something like that). The point is that I think the English movie-copying detracts from the credibility of Bollywood movies - particularly because it adds to the choppiness of the script. For many of us, the English movie-copying also directly takes away from the credibility of the film as it reminds us too much of all the Western flicks we've seen.

The worst part of Juhi turning him in is that in most American prisons (I surmise that prisons in India are probably as bad), a cop stands little chance of surviving after the brutalization he has to go through. Basically, a jail sentence is a sentence of death.
The ending had her nowhere in sight (very strange). This movie could have been great! - because SRK & Juhi are great together, the music was terrific and the plot had a chance. Too bad.
