This movie is based on a play that was written by Nicole Burdette, the actress who played Barbara, Tony Soprano's straight-arrow sister on The Sopranos, in seasons 2 and 3.

Burdette wrote the screenplay adaptation as well.

She's only one of several multi-talented supporting actresses on the cast of The Sopranos. Toni Kalem, who plays Big Pussy's wife, is also a director and a writer.
