I saw this film last night and I thought it was a little weird, good, but also weird. There didn't seem to be any point to the film, but perhaps that was the point. There was some beautiful music being played and poetry read.
Just one question, was Mary Bud's wife or mistress. I couldn't make that out in the film.
Kris Kristofferson was brilliant in the film I thought!
I have no idea about the plot. I doubt if it had one. It could be that one day Ethan Hawke got bored and decided to do an experiment on his audience. The result is agonizing at times, but also strangely moving and satisfying. And the weird thing is I liked it even more than The Hottest State.
BTW, has anyone noticed Natasha Richardson? She's a fantastic actress. Too bad she's taken away so abruptly.
