Most trite cliche depiction of the artistic heritage of the Chelsea Hotel I've ever seen. The CHelsea Hotel can and will always be a great setting for a story, but anyone that ateempts to get to the pulse of the place like Ethan attempted (and failed) better have a better handle on what the place is all about or else the Chelsea will eat you up and spit you out, as it did to Ethan Hawk. For a while ther he became "Mr. Chelsea Hotel" in the press. He publically lived there...was always talkingabout as though he was claiming ownership of it. WE all know that the Chelsea is a historic and increadibly unique place and when someone comes along and tries to make it "theirs" they look like a total douch. Stick to cop moves Hawke eye. This movie was not only a piece of *beep* but an insult to those that have thrived and failed in the walls of the Chelsea Hotel.

I agree, I love "artsy" type movies but this was extremely boring. I couldn't even watch it all the way through.

I didn't make it through the whole thing.

To the first coment:DonĀ“t feel shallow about something you dislike. The other coments are very shallow i will say. You have to actualy have an argument to say this is a bad film. I mean, if you dislike it is ok but to call it bad needs to have back up. I wont loose my time and have no energy in this moment to argue about how good it is but just think about it and try to enjoy the art, beuty, poetry and deep proportions of this film.

I liked it a lot, but I don't feel deep.

Yes!

I watched this late at night a couple nights back. After a couple drinks. It was just what I was looking for. I was in just the right mood for this movie.
