I only saw a small portion of this film and only one death. so could someone explain to me the deaths of the characters?

I knew they were going to be the only ones to live it was really predictable
Basically, everyone with a sex life dies in this movie. The stupid bleached-hair surfer and the pretty girl he sleeps with, the captain and his girl assistant, the old married couple, the pirates...plus the idiot film producer, whom everyone is glad to see get offed.
Flat, drab passion meanders across the screen!
