Would you like to see another 'Homicide'?

Personally, I wouldn't, because it seems this movie said all that could be said as a wrap-up. Also, without Giardello at the center, I don't know who could be the glue to tie things together. And eight years removed from this movie, there would probably have to be a bunch of new characters since most of the old ones would either be dead or retired. The only reason I'd like to see one more HOMICIDE is to answer the question: What happened to Bayliss?

* SPOILER *

In a Law & Order SVU episode, Munch talks about partner who got too emotionally involved in his cases, and ended up eating his gun. Looks like Dick Wolf wrote Bayliss's end...not getting turned in, and ending up committing suicide.

Unless I'm mistaken Munch started out in a department aside from Baltimore before moving to New York so he could be referring to a partner in his original department.

In light of the fact that there is a serious shortage of quality programming on network television nowadays, I'm surprised that Universal (NBC) hasn't approached Levinson/Fontana Productions about re-viving the series with a new cast (and of course obligitory cameos from as many of the original cast members as possible).

Think about it ...

* Kay Howard could be the new Homicide Leuitenant. Last we saw her, she was a seargent

* Barnfather could be Cheif of Police

* Gaffney would be Colonel (Barnfather's old job)

* Jason Priestly could reprise his role from HOMICIDE: LIFE EVERLASTING and would now be a Seargent

* Meldrick could be retired from the B'more PD and still running the Waterfront (by himself)

* Mike Giardello would now be a homicide detective

* Granville Adams could reprise is rcurring role of Officer Jeff Westby who would now be another homicide detective

* Griscom could retired as Chief M.E. in the pilot and Juliana Cox could be re-hired

The possibilities are endless

And Kellerman could get involved in some cases that intersect with his private eye jobs.

It's been way too long since the movie, all of their lives have moved on by now. Most of the characters would probably be retired, promoted or moved away by now.
