Let me say i love the dukes of hazzard. always have always will. this movie was god awful. They should have stop after the 1st one. two things save this film from being complete cow pie.
1) Toby Keith
2) The General Lee Flying (with out the use of stock footage)
Poor James Best looks completly lost..and it was not just the character. He looked like crap. (and I loved his character of Rosco)
YEah, it wasnt too good was it. Still better then most crap coming out these days.
I hadnt seen the DOH show in years and I saw the reunions movies they did.. I thought the first one was OK, but not great.... then I saw this one and thought it was stupid.... and I got to thinking, "do these two movies suck, or did the show just seem better to me when I was a kid"?
I just recently saw seasons 1 & 2 and i'm happy to say i still love the show. It's the movies that wernt thought out too good.
Yeah I have both tv films on tape, and its funny you posted here today. Because i just re-watched the first reunion movie. It was alot beter than Hazzard in Hollywood. The use of stock footage is very notice able and most of the jumps and crashs have been seen a 100 times before in the series. and the usage of speeding up the film. But other than that it was nice to see everyone again and it was the last time we see Mr. Pyle as Uncle Jessie.
