Would you have done the same thing?

The film raises the question: Would you have acted the same way in the end if nobody else could help?

I would have killed both of the thugs. There are some situations where the law has to be broken and this is one of them.

Neither of the real two people involved should still be in prison.

Hi

I am from Poland, and I just saw a "Dept". This movie perfectly shows our Law system! Our police can't do anything to save people. This is creepy, you must be afraid on every step... and Dept is based on true story. I know Slawek Sikora (man, who is base for Stefan character) personally, and he has 25 years to spend in prison. He did nothing, at all, he didn't kill anybody, he wanted just be sefe...

It's just my opinion. Regards, Isket.

All I have to say is that "Dlug", is a superb film. I was walking through Hollywood Video and scanning through the foreign section and saw it. I watched it and I was blown away by the acting and the directing, and the subtle creppy realness of the situation. I really liked how the characters reacted to the situations they were in and how real it felt. I think it will be a long time before I watch another film with such a simple plot that has enormous substance, after seeing "Dlug".

President Kwasniewski has just released one of them (one of my students told me the day before yesterday), but I don't know which one.

reply

Slawomir Sikora has been released.

Its a no brainer. Would have killed both of them if I was in that situation. Especially Gerard. He had it coming.

reply

Of course, but I also would have thrown in those weak "friends". Maybe the girlfriend too.
