of course, you feel bad for him *spoilers ahead*
because he gets killed, but he treated Marci like crap toward the end. He knew about her somewhat risque past but said it didn't matter any more. But when he becomes inattentive and she dares to go to the club she worked at before, he gets angry. Then when he finds out she was broke once and did unsavory things he hates her!! What a *beep* hole!!
She really loved him at first, IMO. While of course murder is wrong and pinning it on someone else like she did was even worse, I did at FIRST feel worse for Marci. I would have taken the settlement he offered in the beginning and split from his sorry judgemental behind!!

i thought he was a jerk aswell! i didnt feel all that sorry for him, i felt more sorry for Marci cos she did seem to actually love him. When he mentioned the divorce thing it kinda came up quickly, and Marci hadnt seemed to anything that bad- all she did was kiss that Eddie guy, and it was Ben's fault that she did it in the first place cos he went on that lunch date with that Blair women!

ummm i dont think that lunch date he had with blair was worse than what she did....he should have known that she was a slut to begin with... she should have been the one to be killed... not him..

I don't see how Marci was being a slut at all. She was a stripper and was truly in love with this man. I think either the story or the director did a horrible job with appling more sympathy to her husband, because he trned out to be a real jerk. His character changed completly and for no good reason. So she went to the club to visit friends. That's exactly what she did, how does that give him the right to be so cruel? She was nothing but loving and caring to him. What an A$$.

I agree. He was a complete ass. The oldest daughter was an uptight little brat as well. He knew she was a stripper when he married her, then proceeded to ignore her and treat her like crap. I was actually glad when he got shot. Marci was the only half way sympathetic character in the whole movie IMO.

You need to be a little more sympathetic about the oldest daughter. She was a medical student and that's a tremendously stressful situation by itself. On top of that, she wasn't doing well plus she wasn't doing it for herself but to live up to her father's expectations. So it shouldn't have been surprising that she didn't extend any sympathy to a newcomer, no less one that was replacing her mother.

I will agree that the father was a jerk and lacked the sensitivity to appreciate his lunch date with Blair or refusal to bring his new wife with him on a trip were as suspicious and stupid as her later behavior.

Just got through watching this movie and I'm sorry, but I have to disagree because that is a cop out excuse. School and stress relating to it has nothing to do with the way she treated her stepmom. She didn't even try to be friendly with her or get to know the woman. If anything, the daughter is your typical annoying and spoiled girl who hates the idea that Marci is in a relationship with her daddy and replaced their mom. Just like her father, she couldn't accept the woman and let go of her shady past, which had nothing to do with her.

The only people I liked in this whole movie was Natalie and Marci- yes her too, despite killing the father and going out her way to collect the insurance money.

LOL What are you 11? Marci had sex with Eddie - twice that I know of. Adults kissing doesn't take two hours. They were naked and they did the dirty, kiddo. Marci is a slut. Always was, always will. You can take the slut out of the Brink but you can't take the Brink out of the slut. She's so insecure, she'd sleep and change her life for anyone. Like when she said to her co-killer when he said he was going to move to Florida - "take me with you" and she was serious.

I TV shows on DVD!!!
