can someone explain the story/ending to me?

I watched American Movie, then this film, which as we all know is included as an extra on the DVD. I thought it showed a lot of creativity and had some well-directed scenes and interesting shots.

I'm left wondering, however, about the ending. Maybe I'm reading too much into this. But what was the deal? He just offs the two Coven members...the end? What message was Mark Borchardt trying to convey in the end?

I think Borchardt was just trying to make a thought provoking film and failed. I don't think he even knows what the ending is all about.

I think he expects people to debate whether or not it all really happened or not. Perhaps the the main character in Coven had just imagined everything, being a drug addict that he was, or perhaps the self-help group really was a coven of witches.

Either way it was pretty crappy.

Although I do have to applaud some of his camera work, at least he has that going for him.

It's obviously a cliffhanger...I'm sure all of your questions and concerns will be answered in Coven II: Return of the Group
