Watched it for the first time 15 years ago on La Cinquième, and discovered this wonderful story and Nicolas Silberg who is absolutely amazing...
This summer they also aired Michel Strogoff and La Chambre des Dames...
And I'm wondering why they're not airing it again... it's so great! nothing compared to dumb shows like Dolmen or others "summer stuff"!!

Just completely agree. The ORTF gave us little wonders. I retaped all the series when La Cinquième aired them. Happily, I had tapes othersfrom a long time...

That is what miniseries should be like : a tribute to the book !

And, by the way, I love Nicolas Silberg's voice...
