Obit for Blue


George (Blue) Epps passed away on Nov. 15th, 2009. At his funeral were Fran, DeAndre, David Simons, and Ed Burns. Mr. Simons and Mr. Burns, along with friends and family members, shared some very moving reflections on George's life. Here is a link to the obituary in the Baltimore Sun.

The article says that Bob Brown is interim director of the recovery facility for homeless men. Is this the same Bob Brown that was the most feared narcotics officer as depicted in both the book and mini-series?

He was a survivor. Sad that at the age of 59 he lived to be an "old timer" compared to his former circle of friends who have long been dead and gone. Very, very sad. May he rest in peace.
