I know that's probably a stupid thing to day, but I really do like her wardrobe in this film, particularly the white, vintage Victorian-esque blouse. The fictional shop owned by Mary-Louise's character, "Second Time Around", seemed lovely. ;-)
shareTotally agree with you...and the shop was great too. Although I think they could have used Brenda Fricker (of My Left Foot fame... and Casualty of course!)a lot more. In fact (and perhaps this should be on a separate thread)Brenda Fricker should be given a lead role in more films. But she is a very good supporting actress.
Back to the shops and the clothes. I wish I could get away with wearing clothes like that. They would just make me look frumpy I think but Mary-Louise's character looks great in them. She also looked fab and had a brilliant role in Fried Green Tomatoes. So all in all...I agree with you.
I only wish there were more of such things in life, like beautiful clothes, wonderful actors/actresses,
autumn, love, ... such films.

I, too, adore her outfits! She is my wardrobe hero; I wish I could find vintage clothes like that; I would wear them all the time! Love, love, love them.
