I know that people say this is a great RPG, but I haven't played it and I need to know one thing before I do. Is this one of those crapfests of point & click? Because if it is then I am never going to play it because point & click offers nothing but countless click click click BOREDOM point point click BOREDOM click point click BOREDOM! Any answers are appreciated.

No, it's not. If you don't learn the ropes and use good tactics in fights you will fail miserably.
