The hanging scene (see my profile avatar) is very similar to that of SUSPIRIA, there's even an exploding glass ceiling.

Maybe Dario watched this movie prior to filming SUSPIRIA? The lighting and camerawork are also similar... that's not saying this is a good movie, but certainly interesting to cult movie buffs like me...

I wrote a message to Dario's buddy Luigi Cozzi, maybe he knows. Will keep you up-to-date.

Yeah, it really does have some similarities. Although I'd say this film is surprisingly superior (no pun intended) to Suspiria.

I got a reply from Luigi stating that Dario never saw THE SCHOOL OF THE HOLY BEAST.

Sorry, but SUSPIRIA is much better than this (if you can compare them at all).

Suspiria is a good film but it has extremely cheesy acting and dialogue.. SotHB was much more entertaining to me.
