Beautifully directed exploitation film.
Some exploitation films are "so bad they are good" but watching School of the Holy Beast was like going to film school, the use of symmetry, focal points and color were above par with most art house films. The acting was convincing and scenes stuck with me for days.
However, the story was a bit ludicrous, it is safe to say with this film just like Italian Giallo films, directing first, acting second, story third, hell maybe lighting and coloring and third and story last.
