dvd?

Is this ever going to come out? I like Richard Dreyfuss and i guess since it says 2001, it has to go direct to video, since it's 2005.

It has gone direct to DVD, but only in Italy, Holland and Australia/New Zealand. I found my copy of the DVD through an Italian retailer, though I recommend English-speaking fans of the cast go with the Australian version, as it has more supplemental material (and no subtitles imposed on the English (original) language version.) You'll need a PAL system DVD player or multiregion software for your computer's DVD drive if you're a North American. There has been no American/NTSC/region 1 issue so far.

The film was snagged in distribution problems that delayed its release for years but is well worth seeing, particularly for fans of the three lead actors. I hope it's seen on American cable or a region 1 DVD issue one day, but I've heard of no plans for such a thing.

FWIW the Australian DVD is an ALL-Zone disc, and most players/televisions can easily be set to process PAL/NTSC as required, so it's probably a viable option just about anywhere.

I'd certainly recommend that Madman issue for the extra features, including a substantial, and quite amusing, post-screening discussion with Weaving and de Heer (with questions from the audience) plus a 'making of' segment where Dreyfuss gets to say his bit.

I suppose on a clear day you can see the class struggle from here.
