Ugly characters

Does anyone else find the character designs of this show ugly? I know this show first aired in 1996 and CGI wasn't exactly advanced back then, but that doesn't excuse ugly designs (For example 'Reboot' was made at around the same time and boasts pleasing characters.) The eyes on the characters look like they were made by pressing a quarter into some clay. Their teeth look sharp and scary. They could have improved this by simply using 'attached' teeth instead of making each tooth separated from each other.

Sorry for replying to an old topic but I had to agree. I saw two episodes of this show for the first time yesterday. The first one I saw was from the fourth season, and they had the separate teeth like you say, and yes it was ugly - but the second ep I saw was the fourth ep from the first season and MAN, talk about ugly!! The teeth were less separated in the earlier eps apparently, but that's the only positive thing I have to say about it. What horrid, horrid character designs. Even if the show had an engaging plot (which I couldn't tell from only 2 episodes) I wouldn't stick with it because of the terrible visuals.

And, incidentally, I don't buy that the kid has allergies. He only sneezes, singly, when its convenient to the plot; he never sniffles, has watery eyes, coughs, gets sinus headaches...lol. I think I paid too much attention to that part.

Lol. I totally agree with you about the kid's mysteriously plot-convenient allergies. I'm allergic to cats and I'd KILL to have allergies like his.
