Is the scandinavian dvdrelease of Beyond Re-Animator uncut (unrated), or is it the R-rated US theatrical version? I am planning to buy this movie, and want the longest version.

Well, the DVD is uncut, but the movie is so goddamn awful that I can't even begin to comprahend how it could even have been produced in the first place. Stay away from the movie, that's a friendly advice.

Just by you saying its a scanbox release is enough for me to tell you to for gods sake buy the US version.
Scanbox are notoriously horrible at releasing movies, ranging from missing subtitles, menu items not working (one one if the danish movies they released you can NOT turn on subtitles from the subtitle menu)
And worst of all, theyre excellent at copying movies directly from video, making a menu on it, and then call it "digitally remastered". Their version of Dune should be punishable.
So basically if you see Scanbox on a DVD, put it down, walk away, then go buy the US version.
