This show proves there is no god

god it's just scary, that people go to such lengths to convert and feel safe in their religion i'm sorry if i don't take them seriuosly. this show tries to stop thinking for ones self. I feel sorry for Christians

reply

I don't watch this show and have nothing to do with the channel that is broadcasting it.(As a matter of fact I made sure the station is blocked from my tv.)You feel sorry for Christians? Why? EVERYONE in the USA has the right to worship and have religious thoughts and beliefs that they want. If you are not a Christian then why does it bother you what other people believe?

reply

Good on you champ. Yeah thats great thinking that bad acting proves there is no god. You are so smart. One day you will stand before God!!

reply

No, you won't. None of us is going to have to stand before anyone. But let the masses keep believing it; it keeps them out of trouble. They're too frightened to actually deal with the fact that they, themselves, are responsible for their own actions.

reply

Meanwhile, God is flicking through the channels to see what is on...he finds 'Bibleman' and decides that he will just watch 'The X-Files' instead.

"Jai Guru Deva, Om"

reply

It may be a bad show, but that doesn't mean that there is no God. It's not meant to convert or feel safe. It's educational with the verses for the CHILDREN that watch it, not non-christians.

I love these "Christian" responses...atheistic scum. People like you are why I stopped going to church in the first place. Such a tolerant religion! LMAO!

reply

So much for being humble and loving your enemies. I am sure when you stand before God, he will mention your willful ignorance, pride and arrogance to you.

reply

No this show proves that there is a God and that he supports quality programming like Bible Man and superior actors like Willy Ames. I feel sorry for you that you can't accept the love of a wonderful God and his prophets on Earth at TBN.

Folks, it's very simple...

This show (Bible Man) is meant MOSTLY for young children. It is to instill goodness and give the understanding of right and wrong in the world on a level that can be understood from their perspective without scaring them.

My children both loved this show when they were young. My five-year-old son wasn't saying to me after the show anything like: "Sheesh, dad. That would have been a fine program if the acting had been more up to par."
What he related to me were bible verse quotes and things of that nature.

Let's put it into the "Now" perspective...
There is a show that airs during prime time, when most red-blooded American families are sitting down to eat. This is when many families have their TVs on somewhere within ear's reach, and many families have very young children at the table. The show is called "Two and a Half Men." The acting is superb, but the content is atrocious. The entire show is about sex, sex, sex, and more sex. There is even a fourteen-year-old boy on the show (the 1/2 man) talking about sex. Being 45-years-old, I really don't need to hear a young boy preaching to me about sex, let alone the millions of young ears that don't need to be bombarded with that verbal abuse. "Change the channel," you say. But that's not my point. My point is that the world needs to be free of that kind of blatant wickedness altogether. Sex, vulgarity, and profanities are not for the young and easily influenced. And it is remarkable how Hollywood is allowed to put this kind of garbage on during prime time.

Bible Man was a pleasant departure from the Hollywood money-making schemes of sex-driven TV shows. Granted the acting was bad, but the message was clear.
To all of you who have such negative things to say about this show, I dare you to watch a full season of "Two and a Half Men" with your five- to eight-year-old and then tell me what kind of language is subsequently escaping their lips.

A kid quoting the bible at me would scare the "you know what" out of me. This show is one of those so-terrible-it-is-delicious programs.

reply

That's the scary part! It's intended for children, to brainwash them into mindless robots that believe in a "god" without a single shred of evidence supporting the existence of such a being. Producing and airing such *beep* should be punishable by law for child abuse!

reply

You think that hollywood stuff is bad? Yes, I agree that sex comes up often but look at the bible and all the blood bath and rape in it.
Look at the part where Lot offers his daughters to be raped by a mob. Women had no value back then.

Morals have changed over time. You can throw the bible into the scrap like all other religions.

reply

I saw an episode today. I'm astonished at how bad it was. Really, the show was just people quoting scripture, then there was a lightsaber fight, where they quoted scripture. It's nothing but people talking, with an occasional fight. Also, why does he need to wear a suit? Why is mad scientist evil in the first place? WHAT'S THE POINT?

SO I think the origin of this thread was meant as...gasp...a joke, not a theological treatise. While I personally don't think teaching kids any religion before they are old enough to truly analyze it themselves is an idea with any merit what so ever it's beside the point. Bible verses or not, this show is terrible. Where the hell do we get off thinking that just because they're kids they should be forced to watch crap. Turn off Bibleman and send them on over to Sesame Street. A show with intelligent, kid friendly writing; some production value; and as wholesome and socially responsible a message as you are going to find anywhere.

reply

Religion is a good thing. People love to bash god as a whole when people put crap like this on tv. This show is lame and retarded and in no way helps anyone in my opinion. That being said, read the bible on your own, teach your kids right and wrong and don't sit them in front of this horror. Don't believe these people selling religion to make a buck.

reply

Which part are you going to read?
The part where Lot offers his daughters to be raped by a mob?
What does this teach : the value that women had back then. They were just property.

Then Sodom and Gomorah get destroyed, along a lot of innocent people just bc they aren't jewish.
Then Lot's daughters get their father drunk and rape him and their god is perfectly ok with this.

"Religion is a good thing."
==There are a lot of religion just like there are a lot of colas. Some aren't good.

reply

but if christians dont get these kids while their young, how else are they going to brainwash them into believing it, be fair dude, otherwise christians dont stand a chance in the long run

reply

No it just proves how silly religion is.
