The only problem I had...

I grew up watching this cartoon. I didn't miss one episode. Me and my brother used to watch it when we got back from school, and we simply loved it. But I have to say that I don't like Wednesday in it. She is to happy, too full of joy, always smilling and in a good mood. When I think about Wednseday, I picture a little girl with that macabre look and serious face. I don't know if it's just me, and I would like to hear your opinion.

Well, she always smiles when tormenting Puggsley. Perhaps they toned her darkness down for Saturday morning viewers. Also, who knows what manner of macabre machinations are behind her smiles?
I loved this cartoon even if only for Gomez's descriptions of Family Dances
at the end of every show.

I've never seen either cartoon version of the Addams Family. Incidentally in the 1970s cartoon version of the Addams Family I understand Ted Cassidy reprised Lurch.

Could some one please describe Jim Cummings' voice for Lurch?

Maybe this is stupid of me to ask but when you say, 'vocal effects', do you mean effects Jim made with his voice or do you mean to say Jims' voice was altered electronically in the post phase?

I agree with the Wednesday thing it's almost like she's to soft spoken

I think Wednesday being toned down from the homicidal ghoul in the movies was an ABC thing. Since the show was made for their Saturday Morning lineup, they probably insisted a lot of the more darker aspects of the characters be toned down. I know they got away with a lot on this show, but ABC was notorious for forcing its shows to be "nice and soft", like when they gutted the Real Ghostbusters and Pound Puppies to make them more *kid friendly*.
