Question About The Girl

I've just seen this movie and I need to ask?

How old is the character Angela suppose to be?
I got the impression from the home videos and from the age of the corpse that the girl was suppose to be six. However when we get to see Angela at the end she looks more like she's fifteen or sixteen. But only five years have gone by so she should be eleven. She is almost as tall as her mother and her voice does not sound like that of a child.

The voice really bugs me, because maybe I am just estimating her age wrong and to others maybe she does look eleven. But that voice sounds more like a twenty year old. Anyone else find that odd?

Also, I speak Spanish fluently and the last line she says is "Yo te llamas." Which means "I'll call you" but the subtitles that came on my DVD (other members in my household don't speak Spanish) say "So, long. I'll be a saint." I'm confused there too. I know there is a thread already on that, but it looked too long and discombobulated for me to want to get into. I just wanted to post that I don't think the subtitled line is a good facsimile - depending on what the director was trying to portray.

Aside from that, I didn't like the movie. It started off pretty good, but the more we got into it the more it started to become disjointed.

Home video of the girl was made when she was about 6. Then several years might have passed before she went missing. Then another year or so went by before her corpse was found. And then another 5 years until the phone call came. So there was enough time for her to be about 14-15.

That makes sense, I didn't think of that. Usually when a home video is played, it is to give us a sense and/or emotional attachment to an unseen character, so I was a little confused.

Thanks.

The synopsis tells us she's six at the moment she went missing: "The mutilated body of a six year old girl is found in a water hole."
