Anyone know what language this was filmed in ?.
I've watched in English but was it originally made in German ?.

I expected a 'B' horror type movie, but it's a bit more than that - almost as if parts have been cut and the plot slightly lost.

Love the house !!!!!!.

( Also a slight problem with the casting of the retired police officer and his wife ..... she looks 20 years older than him. Why cast these two together ?.)

Why the dog ?. Apart from later slaughter, did it have some meaning I've missed ?

There was definately a wasp in the cereal .... Heimlich .... Oh NO !.
The man should have cut ( VERY carefully ), avoiding vital/major arteries & veins.

I'll probably have to watch this again.

I don't know what version you watched, but though the credits list the countries as Germany, the Czech Republic, and the USA, that doesn't mean it was in another language. The language is English. The main characters are either American (Amanda Plummer) or British, therefore the film was filmed originally in English.

It was filmed in English with English actors, but made by Germans and filmed in the Czech Republic. In the DVD commentary, the creators explain that the script was originally written in German, then translated to English and then they went over the dialogue with the actors to make sure it sounds like native English. Personally, I think it's believable, but if it sounds "off" to you, the reason might be that process.
