Did Goldwyn and Kinski really learn Hungarian for their roles?

Impressive. These two actors were brilliant in the movie. And their dedication to the acting craft really showed in this overlooked picture.

Yes they really learned Hungarian though I didn't think they spoke it very well. But Hungarian is one of the most difficult languages to learn.

My grandparents are from Budapest and I don't speak Hungarian but grew up hearing it and I learned a few words here and there. It made me smile to hear the words i know like Grandma, and Oh my G-d which I still say. I also had a cousin Zsu Zsi.

I was impressed with both of them (as well as Scarlet Johannson). They all spoke Hungarian extremely well.

Good for all of them speaking Hungarian so well but where was the accent on her English that Suzanne most certainly would have had?
