I heard it was funny but it bombed on TV after 13 episodes or so for some reason?

there were many issues surrounding the show. i mean there was all the religious elements and stuff so when the show didnt do so hot in the ratings, nbc had no problem taking it off air after only about 3 episodes. you can catch all 13 episodes on dvd.
