I been reseaching on the internet today and there some animated series being turn into live action movies. For example the dragon ball Z series will be a live action film this summer 2008. Also Speed Racer. I been a fan of the series for a long time. I wish hopefully in the near future, Hollywood would make the series into a live action film. What do you think? Should it be made into a live action film?

I don't think anyone could pull it off, or even look anything like the characters, and I don't think 4th graders could pull off such roles. But who knows...

I think it would be like the live action Evangelion movie... most likely a disaster.
I cannot deny that it'd be interesting to see how they manage the special effects thing, but it's just so deplorable when Hollywood tries to remake stuff and just ruins the whole thing by taking off all the human portion and just focusing on the light-show.
A solution to this might be that Hollywood realises the original creators of the series are the best options when it comes to develop a feature film. Then they can submit the SFX and the right casting process, but the HEART of the film belongs to the original creators.
That's my humble opinion.
Live action would be amazing, but it sounds almost impossible. With all the special effects and actors, and Hollywood being *beep* lately.
If they do however, it would be great!
Considering how most of the characters are still in elementary school, casting this may be a bit difficult.

I'm a huge fan of Card Captor Sakura, I know the story by heart, I'm a film student and a fine writer, so... I'll take a chance and write a possible draft for a live action film. Now that I think about it, this series was one of my strongest influences when deciding to go to film school, and, maybe a bit like Peter Jackson and his beloved King Kong, I can pay some tribute to it. My script will be, on the other hand, a bit more adult in its narrative, but nevertheless keeping the innocence and magic that stole my heart as a child.

This anime changed my life both as a child and a teen for the better and I think it deserves proper crdit in the US as well as around the world for that matter. I think it should be made in Japan, using Japanese actors, and given english subs. Clamp should be really involved in making it, as well.
It would probably work better if it was a live action TV series though, instead of a movie.

I think it might be a good idea. I'm an actress myself though and have seen girls and boys around the ages of 10 and 11 and it is not that good. In my opinion you should cast girls and boys around the ages of 12 13 14 and 15. ( Im just saying). Oh and um I also wouldn't use american actors, no offense but it puts of anyone who has seen the japanese series. try and go for people who are say australian but with more worldly actcent (Im sorry i cant spell that well) or i like that idea of using japanese actors and english subs but sakura has brown hair and no one i know who's japanese has brown hair. Only people who dyed it and i doesn't look natural. I could show you some good aspiring actors for some roles as well. oh and don't and I mean DON'T let hollywood touch this. They will ruin it and a lot of people will not look at the series the same way. thanks and i really could show you some people who might be good at the roles.
