I think a few years ago I read on a fansite they were. I'm not talking about the Tsubasa storyline. Just the Cardcaptor Sakura storyline. I forgot how though but I think it was through her father and Shaoran is related through his mother. Can anyone enlighten me?
shareNope nope. Sakura and Syaoran are not related. Syaoran and Mei Lin are cousins though.
This isn't mentioned in the anime series, but in the manga, when Clow Reed died, he had 2 reincarnations. One is Eriol, the other, Fujitaka (Sakura's dad). After Sakura transformed all the cards, Eriol asked Sakura to divide his power between him and Fujitaka, so that he was not the most powerful magician.
While Syaoran is a direct descendant of Clow Reed via his mother, Sakura is not considered a descendant, seeing as Fujitaka is only a reincarnation of Reed's former self, and therefore, they are unrelated. Hope that clears things up a bit. :)
I never heard that Shaoran and Sakura were related. But I know that Sakura and Tomyo are related, they are cousins from Nadeshiko's side. (Sakura's mom)
