How the heck do you get to Soda Lake?

You have to go to the cheese bridge level and go to the secret gate, duh! (The secret gate is past the normal one, you have to fly under the regular gate.)

I beat Soda Lake pretty easily the first time I played through this game, but I played it again in the gameboy advance version and it was harder then hell. Is it really difficult or have my skills just atrophied?

UGH I CANT GET TO SODA LAKE!!!
every time I try to fly under the normal goalpost I start spinning and fall.

Don't try to "fly" anywhere to get to soda lake. Take Yoshi with a cape and fly to the traditional end goalpost. Stand right on the edge before you hit the tape and walk off to the left and immediately go right. As Yoshi falls right, spin jump off of him and you will be behind the goal post. Fly with the cape to the secret goal post and enjoy Soda Lake. I'm slow with games, but I finally beat this part!!! On to Tubular...

Doesn't this game make you hungry and thirsty for sweets? (Soda Lake, Chocolate Island, Vanilla Dome, etc). What a sweet game!

An easy way is to take yoshi fly land right before the end jump off and float under it and jump off yoshi

Chocolate Island makes me crave chocolate everytime. Mmmmmmmm chocolate. (chocolate for me, none for you, yes I'm greedy, ha ha) :)

Go to the end of the gate with Yoshi, stand on the ledge just before the one with the ed marker or whatever you call it. Jump but sure your falling lowly, you have to hold the button, I forget which one it is. As you slowly falling while on Yoshi, make sure your also going forward and make sure you miss the ledge with the end marker (gate). As your falling underneath it, wait to you've past the gate underneath then spin jump off Yoshi (you will lose Yoshi of course, that is reqiured to get to the secret gate) you should land on the ledge with the gate on it but you'll be behind it. Walk away from the gate and there is another gate a little further. If you have any problems, let me know.
