The ending...

... did anyone else sort of get the vibe that towards the end, on that boat, the movie almost try to echo both the boat scene from "The Usual Suspects" (1995) and another such boat scene in "Die Hard With a Vengeance" (also 1995) albeit, however, in the former case it was less suspenseful (and also action packed) and in the latter, merely less action packed?
