Go make your own documentary.

Sincerely, if you think this documentary "unforgivably" omitted jazz greats who, to your mind, were more important than those spotlighted in this one, get your own research together, get funding, get the interviews, buy the rights to include the music, and make your own documentary.

Also, I think it's just a little insulting to jazz itself that anyone would think it so easy to include EVERYONE who ever played jazz well in a TV miniseries.

So, I won't say, "Shut up and be grateful for what you get!" because for sure, there could have been more. But do be grateful that this effort was made, don't be bitter about perceived omissions, but be inspired to ADD to this.

Love is like breathing. You have to take some in and let it out to live.
