Ruby and Rhett today.

So ever since I saw this posting on The Little Giants message board where somoeone posted stories of where each of the characters would be today, I've enjoyed doing it myself for certain movies. So if anyone wants to add on to my stories or make up new stories, feel free.




Uncle Jack (Ruby and Rhett's mom's enstranged brother) At the end, we see the kids with Uncle Jack at their parents grave site. It was obvious that he took the kids in after finding out what happened to them at the Glasses. Jack said that he lived in Chicago and the excuse he gave for not visiting was that Chicago was far away. So after finding out that the kids needed a place to stay, he did what he had to do to provide a stable home for the kids, meaning he had to change his life drastically. He moved to LA so the kids wouldn't have to be uprooted again and enrolled them in the same private school they were in before their parents died. He eventually met and married a nice woman from his job (which was not made clear in the movie) and Ruby and Rhett had a mother, although she would never take the place of their real mother. She brought in two kids around the same age as Ruby and Rhett.

Rhett: Rhett never stopped playing video games and all during highschool took as many classes as possible about technology. He was 11 at the time of his parents death and this movie came out in 2001, so lets say that they died in 2000. He'd be 19 now. He graduated from HS in 2007 and went to school to become a video game programmer. He is still currently in school and is doing an apprenticship. Meaning that he has on the job training. He loves it very much. He is still living with his Uncle Jack and Jack's new wife, but is saving up to move out on his own.

Ruby: I was almost stuck on Ruby since I didn't know what her hobby was. But then I remembered her making a sketch in one scene of the movie. Ruby graduated from HS in 2002 and went on to an art college. She graduated and made a living in art. She met a man at the coffee shop, they dated for about 2 years and got married in 2006. Since most artists struggle financially, Ruby did the same until she met her husband who was a popular LA lawyer. They now have one child.

Terry: This is probably lame, but I'm going with it anyways. Terry miraculously survived that car accident and getting hit by the police car by Ruby. He is now serving life in prison for embezzlement and murder. Since he had the hots for Ruby, he still couldn't get over her and sent her a letter telling her how much he loves her. Ruby got a restraining order against him and he is now banned from any contact with Ruby. He tried again to send her a letter, but when Ruby got the letter, she went straight to the cops and they added more years onto his life sentence.
