The last 20 minutes killed it.

It was very well-done, beautifully-shot and exciting Thriller with great acting and a lot of intense scenes, all up until the scene where the Glasses drug Ruby and the last 20 minutes which follow it that basically ruin the film.

Great example of a how a very rushed and weak ending can affect the whole movie.

It is still a decent flick, but would have been way better had they shot a better ending and conclusion.

Anyone feel the same?

Completely agree with you. Although many parts that preceded the preposterous ending "strained" credibility, the ending made all that came before it seem pointless.

Have to agree with you two. I saw the film yesterday and while I thought it was quite thrilling in the beginning, I found it more and more unbelievable from the moment Erin died. I had the impression that they absolutely wanted to include some "action" in there and piled up all possible clichés while less would have been definitely more.

I wasn't too keen on the ending myself but oh well. All in all fantastic movie

I kept waiting for some kind of ahem...climax, it never really came. I was disappointed.

I agree...The ending was too much like that of The Hitcher (1985).

I think it would have been better if the ending had had a Roald Dahl-esque twist - like, the kids are broke at the end. It just seems that Hollywood cannot give kids a bad ending. That's one of the thing I *love* about Time Bandits (1983) - but would you ever see an ending like that today?

The ending could've been better. I give the over all film 8-10

reply

I was expecting a clever ending but no, it is quite predictable. I really doubt that people could get away with taking advantage of the children in real life and if that is true then it was a bad story from the beginning.

reply

Predictable, really? I never thought the wife would finish herself off. I also didn't anticipate Terry's own angry goons factoring in.

reply

Not predictable at all. The film kept me on the edge of my seat.
