Question about the opening!

While everybody is talking about the ending, why does no one seem to care about the strange opening?

I don't talk about the Intro, you know with the cool song and the hilarious scenes,
I talk about the opening, seconds before.
This kept me more thinking than the end. (I explained the ending in another thread)

Our two main characters never met before right?
So why are they seen together before the movie starts, looking directly in the camera,
breaking the 4th wall, laughing and counting 1....1,2...1,2....1,2,3...*BAM* Intro

I know that this is a Miike movie, and I also know that he likes to play with peoples minds in his own movies, but here I want to hear some thoughts of you my beloved Miike fans.
