This movie is going to be out in limited release in November, 2005... so there's not much more time to wait. Please keep an eye on imdb.com and their website christmasintheclouds.com for further info and to see when screenings are in your area.
Thanks for the news - we saw this lovely movie at a festival and told everyone to watch for it someday.... but never guessed such a gem would take so long to appear.
Just saw it in the theatre at 9:55pm showing....there were 2 people in the theatre. The movie was good. I'll give it 4 out of 5 stars. Simple and slow at times but still enjoyed the many jokes, plot, heatwarming and funny ending.
I can't remember how I heard about this movie, but for some reason I decided I had to see it, even if it meant going alone. I lucked out, and the showing I went to had a question and answer session with the writer/director! She pointed out that in California in November, ticket proceeds are being donated to public education.
I just wish it was playing more times locally. It's going to be work to drag my friends out to a matinee...
I had the pleasure of playing golf with Tim the last friday in October and he told me that weds. November 3 was the premiere and that it would be released in a limited locations only about 25-30. But that's still pretty good with how long it took it to finally get a release at all. I haven't had the chance to see it yet, but Tim said that he was really proud of it and hoped it would do well even in limited release.
As limited a release as can be imagined. In Northern Callifornia, it's playing in Santa Rosa (about 60mi N. of San Francssco) on Monday & Tuesday at, I believe, 10:30 in the morning. Not the most convenient time or location.
