Last I heard, the director/writer still was looking for a distributor. Hard to believe! It's such a wonderful movie and would probably do great during the Christmas season.

I got an evaluation copy that was sent out prior to color timing. Every 30-minutes the message, "Property of Cloud Productions" pops up at the bottom of the screen. The credits are unreadable because they are a direct transfer from the print and are too small for television. But even with all these issues, I still pop it in the player and watch it every other week or two.
I was hoping it would be out on DVD prior to this coming holiday season so I could have them drop ship copies to friends and family.
This one will probably wind up going right to DVD because other movies like it are going that way. Where the Red Fern Grows (2003) never made it to screen and is going direct to DVD via Disney on 12-21-04.
Christmas in the Clouds does not need a huge send out. I just hope it just gets out.

This movie will be released in limited markets in November 2005. From there it will hopefully platform out to a larger release area.

I bought my copy last week at Wal-Mart for thirteen bucks and change. :-) To their credit, they had a whole bunch of copies, and had them positioned front and center in the New Releases section.

I got mine from Kate Montgomery's mother.
