Phone Numbers...

Should the fact that both of the phone numbers given in the movie,
after the area code, began with a 1xx prefix (as no phone numbers do)
been a clue that Daniels' character was dreaming (other than the other
clues)? Or was this just another movie convention (like always using
"555" as the prefix) used to avoid potentially using a coincidentally
real phone number?
