Music During the Boss Tweed Sequence

Does anyone know the name of the music used during the sequence which covered the life story of Boss Tweed. It sounds a very familiar piece of classical music but not knowing it is driving me crazy! Cheers, Steve

"Manhattan Beach" by Her Majesty's Royal Marines?

I have the soundtrack and I recall that this tune is played during, though not all the way through, the Boss Tweed/Tamany Hall sequence.

Amazon has the the soundtrack.

You can listen to a sample of each of the 24 songs. "Manhattan Beach" is track 10.

If that's not it, tell me how many minutes in to the episode the song starts and I'll try to identify it for you.

Many thanks for that but it is not on the soundtrack CD and I used the musical expertise of another board I belong to and found out that it was "Les Tringles Des Sistres Tintaient" (Gypsy Song) from George Bizet's Carmen. I should have passed it on. Cheers, Steve
