Current status of France's 35-hour work week

Can someone tell me what is the current status of the 35-hour week in France? I also have questions about the film's ending. It seems intentionally rather unresolved, but I would like to know, from a French perspective, what would be the probable path of Franck. A brief exchange of messages would be appreciated.

Like in most countries in the world, the likely outcome is that the employers would win. France is not different from other countries.

The law has been gutted by the sarkozy govt without having the balls to actually scrap it alltogether , instead a new set of cryptic rules have been set out which manages to anger everybody.

So from the outside it looks like it's been reformed but when you actually look at it precisely , it's an horrible mess.

But Hey ! sarko got himself a new 60.000 $ designer watch , and that's all that really matters.
