What stinks more: Part 6 VS Resurrection
I could kind of watch Part 6...... if only cause of Loomis becoming a complete lunatic.
Resurrection gots no soul, and no appeal : (

I know I'm in the minority, but I prefer Resurrection. By no means do I think it's a good movie, but I just really didn't like the whole 'man in black' motivation stuff from 6.
shareI agree, "Resurrection" is by no means good, but it's at least serviceable and superior to the lousy "The Curse of Michael Myers."
shareProducer’s cut of 6 is one of the best of the series
shareI have not seen this. What is different about it from the theatrical version?
shareThe entire 3rd act is different. The “cult” aspect makes way more sense. There’s also lots of extended and deleted scenes back in that flesh out the plot and characters. Also Jamie isn’t killed in the beginning but halfway through the film, giving her more screen time. It ends with Loomis becoming the new “Man in Black” (ie Michael’s protector) instead of being killed. Also the music and editing are more like the original Halloween film as opposed to the “1990s MTV” feel of the theatrical cut.
shareThanks I may have to check it out. I really didn't like the cult aspect in the theatrical cut so maybe I will like this.
shareother than Halloween (1978), it has the best use of music in any of the other movies. Too bad Donald Pleasance died before filming a sequel. it would have been interesting. Could you imagine them tying part 6 into H2O with both Michael and Loomis going after Laurie.
shareAbsolutely! The music on the producer’s cut is very fitting with the tone of scenes throughout the film.
