Different song?

Does anyone know why the episodes that air on the Fine Living Network at 11pm have a different song than the one that plays when it's on the Food Network?

I was JUST about to ask the same question. I wonder if its the original theme song for the series or an earlier version?
I like the other one better though. It sounds so majestic.

I’ve been wondering about that myself. The Food Network broadcasts of Iron Chef used the soundtrack from the film Backdraft for all of its musical cues. It’s possible that the laws that cover filming and broadcasting of a show on tape versus other formats could have something to do with it. It could also be that they didn’t have the rights to it and the owners of the music’s copyright didn’t know about it until the show became a cult hit in the US. Or it could just be that the FLN programmers are stupid.

Who knows? I’ve been looking for the answer on the net whenever I’m bored and haven’t seen anything other than people wondering why they replaced the music with the junk they have now.

Fine Living Network is a sister network to Food Network, DIY, and HGTV.

"I must break you": Ivan Drago
Back On The Road Again: REO Speedwagon

I agree. I much prefer the one they used when it was on Food Network.

I believe it's a money issue. The could use the Backdraft music if they pay for it. I imagine that the rights holders want too much for Fine Living's liking.

Agreed

My last 3 films I saw:

Red Tails (9/10)
The Hunger Games (8.5/10)
