They sell tapes on ebay... but try tvshowsondvd.com... you can help support YA on DVD. I'l give my right arm for a YA DVD... but who knows?

Your statement makes absolutely no sense. Ever hear of "My Big Fat Greek Life"? No? Well, it was a terrible show with horrible ratings that didn't even last a complete season and guess what? It's made it to DVD. Anything is possible.

Unfortunately, The WB (the assholes that brought us YA then tore it away from us without so much as an apology?! [yeah, I'm bitter]), have stated they have no plans nor any future plans to release YA on DVD. Assholes! I was like, 'But soooo many people want it!!! GRR!!!"

This was such a good show; hard to find "good" shows these days.

I live near Havre De Grace where some of it was filmed, and remember seeing some of the store fronts that summer! Wish we could get it on DVD.... any one have tapes to put up on Youtube?

you know it wasn't the ratings that sunk Young Americans. Actually it did pretty well for it's time slot. it was getting good reviews too, but it was bad timing and lack of interest on the WB's part that sunk the show. I mean it had potential and i think it deserves to be on dvd. Perhaps if enough people say something it will be some day. They put flirefly on dvd after all.

There's a program you have to download called HJsplit which is provided on the website. It's actually easy, just follow the instructions :)

Not really clear quality, but passable!

I just dug out my tape for the first time in 2 years and was shocked at how incredibly poor the quality is (I'm off to download the episodes from the website mentioned). I'd do almost anything to see the WB suck it up and give a few die-hard fans a heart attack. I'm still just as eager to see them on DVD as I was almost 4 years ago...and that's saying something.

At the risk of sounding boring, I'm also desperate to get my hands on all eight episodes of Young Americans on VHS. I want to give them to my friend for her 18th birthday - she loved the series, but never saw the last episode! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

that happened to me too, try to download it again. i noticed that if you change the director or rename the file, it doesn't work.
