Why does the theme song sound like it's from Zorro? I keep waiting for a mexican robocop to pop out (Mexicop?)

the theme is so inappropriate. I was watching this at work, marveling at the stupidity on the screen and wondering why it sounds like someone is about to salsa dance when my coworker walked up and immediately asked why fat, old robocop and Blackocop were in a Robert Rodriguez movie.

The music is the cherry on top of the sh!t cake that is Robocop PD

Yes, pretty weird. They really should have used the original Robocop music and kept that vibe. The music in this sounds more like a spaghetti western.
