Reading all of these terrible reviews, I went into it thinking it would be terrible! THE MOVIE WAS SO FUNNY! I LOOOVED IT! Cate Blanchett was great! Good job Barry Levinson.

That often happens (with me anyway) when somebody says a movie is terrible, I EXPECT bad.

I think people should be required to FINISH a movie before criticing it...and if the movies are so bad stay out of the message boards! EVERY movie board has some idiot that says "This movie sucks" "Waste of money, talent" blah blah. If your going to bash a movie on its own message board you should at least A. have FINISHED the @#$@#$^ thing, and B. justify your opinions with some supporting sentences.

That's like saying you can't form an opinion of a specific torture without enduring 2 hours of torture.

Or, you can't form an opinion of a serious car accident without being squashed against the dashboard... then the keyboard pops out and you can type an essay about your experience.

Yes this movie was that bad. But I watched it because I wanted to see how much worse it might get. I was/wasn't disappointed.

Agreed. This movie was okay, nothing special. I'm suprised I never heard of it until yesterday when it was om Comedy Central, big name cast and all. The concept of the movie was good, but I think it lost it's way somewhere in the middle and the ending didn't make much sense.

How come if the three of them couldn't make it work before that last robbery, they were able to make it work afterwards? She said she couldn't chose between them and there was jealousy and backstabbing and secret plots to run away with each other. Then they come up with a brilliant plan to fake their own deaths and suddenly they can make their unusual relaionship work?

*end of spoilers*

Other than that, this movie wasn't awful. It had some funny lines and it passed the time.

Five years later, and I'm going to swoop in with the obvious answer. The reason they were able to make it work was because of the falling out. Joe and Terry came to the realization that they would rather share Kate than lose her--and they only realized this after she left them. So they came up with the plan for the last big heist, and lived happily ever after.

It was entertaining. Not great, not bad, but ok. If you want to see what a really bad movie looks like, I'll suggest you watch Mannequin.

it was ok for me...
not great.. not terrible...
but somewhat entertaining.

Blanchett is a great actress....
I have liked her in every movie I have seen of hers.
