Why could Blanchett be surprised Willis knew Total Eclipse of the Heart? Wasn't it very popular in the 80's? I mean, I was only born in '83, but the constant playing of it on MTV and the radio has ingrained it in me, and I don't even care for the song.

I agree. I was born in '70 and all my friends know the song, and know it well. There was about a year stretch where you couldn't get away from it. With people their age, I'd be surprised if they DIDN'T know the song.

I think she was surprised because it's more or less considered a "chick song" and Joe (Bruce Willis) is more of a macho man
