Solid thriller, but I was a bit underwhelmed. 7/10.

Most of that is because I love Sam Raimi, and this just doesn't look/feel like a Raimi flick for the most part. Still worth a one-time watch though.

There's a few shots and some ambience throughout the film that alludes to the first two Evil Deads, but that aside, it does diverge from his style. Which is appropriate, seeing as how it's a different kind of film than his other stuff.

Over all though, I do agree with your main point. A solid 7/10.
