So very 'actory'

SO many actors. Sooooo many actors. And they were all so actory. Doing their southern accents and all.

There was no possibility of suspending disbelief. What southern town has that many skinny people. Not a fat person was found in this version of America. Just actors.

Lmao

No. I refuse to believe it. Actors?? In a movie? What's next?? Students in a school? Animals in a zoo?? Southerners in the South?? Even worse...Southern students at a Southern zoo??!! Oh, the humanity!
Moron.

reply

Lol! I was thinking something similar.

reply

Ha!

I liked the film, but I like your post even more.

Do you also get miffed when pilots fly the plane you're on?

reply

only if they fly it well and the copilot is good too.

Very good point about no fat people. Especially since this is set in the South, there should be mostly fat people. I actually kept thinking that the movie was set in the late 1970's - then the thin people would make sense.

Doesn't your complaint apply to a ton of other movies?

reply

I know exactly what you mean and this post did make me laugh.

Really though, you know your film is overstuffed with "actor's actors" when freaking Cate Blanchett, of all people, gives the most subdued and natural performance.
