Favourite movie of the trilogy?

What is your favourite film in this trilogy?

For some reason, I find myself strangely drawn to Dracula II: Ascension. Despite the continuity problem with the first film, I like the whole idea of the corpse being brought to the morgue then regenerating itself. I'm a Doctor Who fan so I suppose I also like the idea of someone being fatally injured and then healing with a new face.

But each film had its strong points.

I suppose a separate question is: of the three, which is your favourite Dracula? Rutger Hauer's performance is just so different it's hard not to be fascinated by it. Stephen Billington was given very little to do (and I don't know if I can forgive his mispronunciation of "Tepes" considering that it's meant to be his own name), but he was still good in his own right. Gerard Butler was the best-looking but slightly fell into the mould of Gary "spends half the film with a melancholic croaky voice" Oldman.

I live for two things. 1-science fiction. 2-reruns.

I haven't seen II or III but I have heard (from people who really liked the first) that they really weren't that great and that there's a reason that they were released straight to video. I've heard that the story . . . the cast . . . the production value . . . everything was a step down.

I suppose I should watch them before I make a final judgement but Gerard Butler MADE the first film for me (and I'm a much bigger fan of his than of Hauer) so I fear the very fact that he's not in it will end up being a deal-breaker.

I like Dracula 2000 and Dracula 3: Legacy...Dracula Ascension is just a
step-between.

I really enjoy them all! They all have a different feel to them, but I really like the scene in Dracula III with the clown/vampire on stilts.

I liked this movie the best. It was the most solid of the three.

I think all three of them are amazing.
But I gotta be truthful Dracula 2000 is without a doubt the best of the trilogy.

Dracula 2000 has style, substance & etc, I liked what it did with the Dracula character it was unique and clever. The film's characters are so intimate and personal. It is a perfect film in my eyes and Gerard Butler is a perfect Dracula.

I also really like Dracula II:Ascension & Dracula III:Legacy they are great films but as sequels they are rather poor.

Dracula II:Ascension while lacking the style and substance that D2k has it has one aspect that is superior and almost nonexistent in D2k and that's atmosphere.I like to think that Dracula II:Ascension is basically a Atheistic remake of Dracula 2000 and Dracula 2000 is a very theistic redention of the story.Dracula 2000 deals with the basic same story but is far more spiritual in it's take but Dracula II:Ascension is science based.

Dracula III:Legacy while it doesn't have the excellent production values of the first two I actually like it more than Dracula II:Ascension.Dracula III:Legacy stands out more as it's own thing and feels more like a Dracula film than a typical vampire film than Dracula II:Ascension.
