$48.00+ for a single season ? What a ripoff. They haven't bothered reducing the price of these boxed sets at all.
It's about time Southern Star and the local distributors got their act together and reduced the price of their Australian TV shows on DVD.
Well, someone must be listening as the price of Stingers Seasons 1-4 is down to $24 at BigW.

Does anyone know if they're releasing seasons 5-8? Because I was thinking of getting seasons 1-4 but not if the rest of the series isn't going to be released like Blue Heelers and Full Frontal and others.

Season 5 is being released next month according to the EzyDVD website.
As for the prices, they are pretty expensive. There's a few Aussie shows that have quite expensive DVDs which is rather annoying. All Saints and Water Rats are others that come to mind.

sharePrice is only a part of my problem. I'm caught in this stupid DVD Region thing. 'Stingers' disks are formated for region 4 and I'm in region 1. It's supposed to be some sort of security thing I think. Other than preventing me from buying seasons of 'Stingers', I cannot see any reason for it.
sharehi there grandlk, if you happen to look in some retail stores, there are DVD players called multizone DVD players, these players enable you to play just about any region of DVD from around the world. I have looked on various websites in the USA etc which is where I think region 1 is located & have found quite a few cheap multizone players on the Walmart website, if not try ebay & type in the subject heading multizone DVD players. shareYeah I got Seasons 1 and 2 for Christmas. I bought Season 4 the other day for $20 at JB HiFi. I've also bought Season 3 off their web site. First 6 seasons are out. Just now waiting for Seasons 7 and 8 to be released.
